Paulina Rubio held a press conference in Mexico yesterday to promote her new album, Gran City Pop, and (of course) could not avoid questions about the biggest news story of the day, Michael Jackson's memorial service.
It seems that Paulina loved the deceased pop star, and she even went so far as to hope that she can be remembered in a similar fashion, saying, "Michael Jackson was the King of Pop and now a new era must begin. His legacy, his music. ... I hope that when I die, even though I am physically gone, that my music and my legacy will live on as well."
She continued, explaining how she hopes her music can help define a generation and be sung for years to come: "I hope my music will be remembered as songs made for a generation and will continue to be sung, that it speaks to the moment and to our identity."
