Our Favorite Pitbull Collaborations of All Time!

He went from passing out his own CDs on Calle Ocho to dominating the charts worldwide, but no one can deny the secret to Pitbull’s success has been his many, many, many collaborations with other artists over the years. While we wait in anticipation of his upcoming album Planet Pit—which boasts guest vocals from such heavyweights as Marc Anthony, LMFAO, Ne-Yo, Kelly Rowland and Sean Paul and drops tomorrow, June 21st—we thought we’d reminisce about some of our favorite Pitbull partnerships over the years.

Like he told us for our June-July cover story, Mr. Worldwide is “single, bilingual and ready to mingle” and he wasn’t lying! Want to talk to Pitbull? Well, now’s your chance. He’s going to be participating in a Live Facebook chat with Latina magazine readers on Wednesday, June 22nd. Be sure to visit our Facebook page and “like” Latina magazine for a chance to ask him a question and get a real time response. ¡Dale!

1. Pharrell feat. Pitbull

Pharrell feat. Pitbull

When Pharrell and Pitbull got together to record this song for the Fast & Furious soundtrack, the Miami club scene probably got a lot more dull. The two haven’t collaborated on a track since, but Pharrell’s group The Neptunes did produce a track, “Jealouso,” on Pit’s 2006 album El Mariel.

2. Shakira feat. Pitbull

Few people can make us shake our booty more than Shakira and Pitbull, but when they got together for this under-the-radar gem, it was like our body developed a mind of its own. We’d call this track NSFW simply because it might compel you to get out of your desk chair and do the samba.

3. Enrique Iglesias feat. Pitbull

“I Like It”

Two of music’s most notorious naughty boys getting together for a dance hit? We like it. A Lot.

4. Orishas feat. Pitbull

Orishas feat. Pitbull

“Quien Te Dijo”

Break out the Cuban flags. Pitbull kept it real when he got together with afro-cubano hip-hop artists Orishas to make this track the second best collaboration to come out of Cuba, right after…

5. Gloria Estefan feat. Pitbull

“No Llores”

This track featuring Cuban legend Gloria Estefan and legend-in-the-making Pitbull is so moving, it could be a national anthem for the people of their home country.

6. Daddy Yankee feat. Pitbull and Noreaga

“Gasolina [Remix]”

Boricua and cubano go together like beans and rice when Daddy Yankee and Pitbull get together on a track. Our favorite is this classic remix of Yankee’s megahit “Gasolina.”

7. Jennifer Lopez feat. Pitbull

Jennifer Lopez feat. Pitbull

“On the Floor”

In his most high profile collaboration to date, Pitbull cleaned it up to get on the floor with Jennifer Lopez. The track may be signature Lopez (electronic beats, airy vocal interludes), but Pit managed to sneak some of his 305 swagger and naughty lyrics in there.

8. Pitbull feat. Lil Jon

Pequeño Juan has worked with Pitbull so many times, we’re ready to declare him an honorary Latino. Picking a favorite track from their nearly two dozen collaborations is almost impossible, so we went back to the album that started it all and chose the classic party-starter “Toma.”
