This Friday, June 25th, marks the one-year anniversary of Michael Jackson's untimely death. CBS's The Early Show is celebrating the milestone with a special hour-long tribute entitled The King of Pop: One Year Later that will feature performances by Marc Anthony and Christina Aguilera. The special will air on Friday morning at 8AM EST.

Both of the stars recently spoke about the importance of the legendary pop star. "I remember going to my high school talent show singing 'The Way You Make Me Feel' and being a huge fan of his album Bad," Aguilera reminisced.

While Anthony said, "A Michael Jackson comes around literally once in a lifetime. They break the mold and I think there are people who just sacrifice their life, their personal life, all for the arts."

Mariela Rosario,

I'm a raging opinionista and I love to share my ramblings on everything from pop culture to food to stuff that makes me laugh & cry! I've worked in all types of media (TV, film, print) and was previously the online editor at Latina magazine before joining Mamás Latinas. On most nights you can find me working my way through my library of cookbooks or playing with my puppy Lola (my only child so far). I have a wonderful hubby who shares my passion for any and all kinds of travel. Together, we've formed a semi-professional wine drinking team.
