Luis Miguel Receives Standing Ovation at Comeback Concert

Grosby Group

Luis Miguel is back! Over the weekend he performed in Los Angeles to a thrilled audience who eventually rewarded the Mexican crooner with a standing ovation.

After being hospitalization for an extended period of time due to a mystery illness, the normally reserved and guarded pop star seemed to have a new lease on life. An unusually effusive Miguel thanked his fans, saying “Thank you for being here. I knew that you would not fail me. It's been a privilege to sing for you for all these years." Then, all the women in the crowd simultaneously fainted. No, we're kidding, but the ladies do love them some Luismi.

Miguel is on tour to promote his new album, titled simply Luis Miguel. And no, no one saw Daisy Fuentes backstage, though the two are rumored to be on again and have been spotted together on several occasions in the Miami area recently.

Mariela Rosario,

I'm a raging opinionista and I love to share my ramblings on everything from pop culture to food to stuff that makes me laugh & cry! I've worked in all types of media (TV, film, print) and was previously the online editor at Latina magazine before joining Mamás Latinas. On most nights you can find me working my way through my library of cookbooks or playing with my puppy Lola (my only child so far). I have a wonderful hubby who shares my passion for any and all kinds of travel. Together, we've formed a semi-professional wine drinking team.
