Selena Gomez debuted her new single on Ryan Seacrest's KIIS-FM radio show yesterday and we've gotta say, it's pretty fantastic! "Who Says" is an anthem celebrating individuality and empowerment and seems like a direct shot at all of the folks who have been trying to tear Gomez down since it was revealed that she is dating Justin Bieber, though the pop star refuses to confirm exactly who the song is aimed at.
"When I heard it, I feel like my fans need this song right now. Especially with Twitter and Facebook, it's just really negative for me," she told Seacrest of the song. "Within that world there's just such easy access to people's feelings. So, I think that this song is such a great message for my fans and it really touched me when I heard it."
Selena has been the subject of vicious online attacks from rabid Justin Bieber fans and bored bloggers alike, but she has taken it all in stride, holding her head high and choosing to address her problems with her music.
"Basically it's to the haters," she explains of her latest single. "It's to the people that try to bring you down." We're sure the song will also help tons of teens in the U.S. who have suffered from online or real life bullying themselves. Listen and tell us:
