The Jonas Brothers recently canceled the Monterrey, Mexico stop of their Look Me in the Eyes tour due to a string of drug related violence in the area.

"Due to the recent series of unfortunate events in the city of Monterrey, Mexico, the Jonas Brothers, in consultation with Live Nation, have decided to cancel their upcoming concert date scheduled for October 21st at Estadio Universitario," read a statement from the band's reps.

"Our fans in Monterrey and all of Mexico are some of the best in the world," Kevin Jonas said in the statement. "We love any opportunity we have to visit and although we won't be able to see everyone at the moment, we hope to come back very soon."

Fans will be able to exchange their Monterrey tickets for either of the other dates the band will play in Mexico (October 23rd in Guadalajara or October 24th in Mexico City) or get a refund.

I'm a raging opinionista and I love to share my ramblings on everything from pop culture to food to stuff that makes me laugh & cry! I've worked in all types of media (TV, film, print) and was previously the online editor at Latina magazine before joining Mamás Latinas. On most nights you can find me working my way through my library of cookbooks or playing with my puppy Lola (my only child so far). I have a wonderful hubby who shares my passion for any and all kinds of travel. Together, we've formed a semi-professional wine drinking team.
