What has been the best part of being on Glee?

The best part has been working on my acting skills while also being able to sing. The whole cast was so sweet. I also loved playing a diva-type personality because I’m not that way at all in real life.

Did Naya Rivera offer any advice?

She did! She was really nice and told me not to stress out too much and that I would do great. She said she was a big fan of mine and I was freaking out because I’m in love with her. I got to take a picture with her, which was awesome!

What are your thoughts on the new Idol judges?

I love the new judges! They are really different, exciting, and entertaining [Laughs]. I love the personalities on the panel and also the way Nicki [Minaj] walks. She just knows how to work it. I’m in love with her.

What do you think about talks that J.Lo may come back as a judge in the future?

I love it! I personally love J.Lo because she’s a fashion icon and I love her music. I also think I’m bias because she was my judge so there’s a connection there, but I absolutely love her.

What do you love most about being a part of Subway's Fresh Artists campaign?

I was actually a part of it before I joined Idol. It supports young artists in the industry and gives them needed exposure. I really love performing and meeting other artists through the campaign.

On a personal note, are you seeing anyone? Do you even have time for dating?

I’m currently single and ready to mingle! [Laughs] My main priority is family and my career, but I’m open to meeting someone new.
