Before Jenni was in the forefront of the reality show game with her hit show, I Love Jenni, she launched as executive producer, Jenni Rivera Presents: Chiquis & Raq-C. The show focused on her first-born daughter, Janney “Chiquis” Marin, and sidekick, Raquel "Raq-C" Cordova.
I Love Jenni was one of the highest rated programs on Mun2, which ended up producing yet another spin-off, Chiquis ‘n Control, which focused on Jenni’s daughter growing independent and opening up her own salon.
Mun 2’s Jenni Rivera Presents: La Boda de mi Hija (The Wedding of My Daughter), which aired about a month ago, was the number one cable show watched among Latinos between the ages of 18-49. The episode featured the 43-year-old singer’s daughter Jacqui Marin lavish wedding. Fans caught Jenni offering marriage advice to her daughter and having a blast at her bachelorette party.
The regional Mexican star wasn’t done with conquering the airwaves. She has a family comedy in development with ABC, which was produced by Robert K. Boyett and Robert Horn. Jenni was set to star on the show.
In 2010, La Diva de la Banda was named the spokeswoman for the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence. The star who prided herself as a survivor of domestic abuse was honored by the LA City Council, which deemed August 6 “Jenni Rivera Day” due to her dedication to the cause.
La Diva de la Banda officially became the first female regional Mexican star to sell-out a concert at the famous Gibson Amphitheater in Universal City in California. Back in 2010, she was also the first singer to sell-out to concerts back-to-back at the Nokia Theatre. Talk about star power!
In April, Jenni performed her greatest ballad hits at the Billboard Latin Music Awards at Bank United Center in Miami. During the performance, her I Love Jenni crew was following her every move for her fans.
