We’d love to know what Julio Iglesias thinks about his eldest son’s newest single “Tonight (I’m F**kin’ You)”? After all, Dad was an original Latin Lover, a man who preferred to use innuendo when wooing the ladies. Even at his raunchiest, he was still a gentleman : “To all the girls who cared for me/ Who filled my nights with ecstasy/ They live within my heart/ I’ll always be a part/ Of all the girls I’ve loved before,” he croons in his most famous hit.
Now Enrique is another story. The 35-year-old has taken a completely different (or shall we say, plain ol’ dirty) musical approach to landing chicks—and not everyone is singing along. “Tonight (I’m F**kin’ You), featuring Ludacris, is definitely catchy but the lyrics aren’t exactly subtle: “You know my motivation/ Given my reputation/ Please excuse I don’t mean to be rude/ But tonight I’m f**kin’ you."
And though Enrique told MTV.com that the song is meant to be “fun” and not taken seriously, the 640 (and counting) customer ratings on iTunes have been mostly negative:
“This is just an abomination.” - Number1popstar
“Not a prude, but this song is just awful no matter what lyrics you use. Has E. forgotten his Latin roots and just went crude?!” - wyldgyrl
“Enrique is the only dude that can tell a girl 'Tonight I’m F**kin’ You' & not get smacked across the face! LOL" – Edgar Alas
“I can sum this up in four words – HOW DEGRADING to women!!!!!!!” - imlori444
One thing is for sure, we can’t wait to see the video!
