Dolores Huerta Unites Musicians to Show Amor for Immigrants

Carlos Santana, Los Lonely Boys and Willie Nelson all came together to support legendary social activist, Dolores Huerta and the Hermes Foundation by recording the album, Proyecto de Amor.
The album consists of 15 tracks and spoken poems recited by spiritualist Deepak Chopra. It includes around five renditions of the lead charity single, “Claro Que se Puede,” with a Spanish version from Santana, an English version from Willie Nelson and even a Norteño version from Los Bravos Del Norte.
Dolores has been fighting for Latino rights for over 40 years and plans to use profits from Proyecto de Amor to building awareness about immigration reform. The Hermes Foundation is using its portion of profits to aid children in some of Mexico’s poorest regions. For over 24 years, Hermes has given more than 100,000 toys to children as well as paid for numerous cleft palate surgeries for youth in Mexico’s Chiapas region. This collaborative project is truly inspiring!
