If Afrojack isn't a name that sounds familiar to you yet, get ready to hear it a lot. The Dutch DJ is starting to blow up! And, luckily for us, one of the people he's been working with is Shakira.
Shakira recently tweeted a photo of her in the studio with Afrojack, so he didn't have to hide the fact that he's collaborating with her when he was interviewed from the Ultra Music Festival in Miami. In the Afrojack Billboard interview, he said that Shakira is "really nice," which appears to be important to him when deciding who to work with. He also appreciates, as surely any DJ would, how much she likes dance music and hearing a great beat.
This isn't the first time Afrojack's worked with a Latino; he was also featured on the 2011 Pitbull single "Give Me Everything," along with Ne-Yo and Nayer. And, while she's not Latina, Beyonce has also gotten a hand from Afrojack on "Run the World (Girls)." After producing tracks that hot, we can't wait to hear what a dance hit with Shakira would sound like!
The year is going to get even bigger for Afrojack, as he plans his first U.S. tour. We wonder if there will be any appearances from a certain Colombian singer...
