This is definitely Demi Lovato’s comeback year. The part-Mexican singer/actress has just been confirmed to perform at the 12th Annual Latin Grammy Awards! The Latin Recording Academy made the announcement this week. The 19-year-old star will be surrounded by some of the biggest heavyweights in Latin music at the awards ceremony, which will be held at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas on November 10.
In addition to Lovato performing, a slew of other artists were also confirmed to take the stage, such as legendary norteño band Los Tigres Del Norte and Mexican singer Paulina Rubio. Los Tigres Del Norte are also nominated for two awards. Puerto Rican reggaetoneros Wisin y Yandel are also set to perform.
Some of this year’s nominees are Venezuelan singer/songwriter Franco De Vita and Mexican rock group Maná. The leader of the nomination pack is none other than hip-hop duo Calle 13, with ten nods. The Puerto Rican stepbrothers’ nominations include Album of the Year, Best Urban Music Album for Entren Los Que Quieran, and Song Of The Year for “Latinoamérica.”
We’re crossing our fingers that her song of choice will be her emotional smash hit “Skyscraper” which she performed in both English and Spanish at this year’s NCLR ALMA Awards—despite not speaking Spanish.
The Latin Grammys will air live on Univision at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
