Demi Lovato definitely has some things to sing about right now. The release of her single “Skyscraper” and the music video for the song has reached some new heights for her music career. Now, she just needs to follow up this success with a good, solid album—and the wait is almost over!
In an interview with E! News on the red carpet of the HTC Social Status launch party, Lovato said her third studio album is nearing completion. “We have like 20-something songs. We're gonna have to cut it down, but we're still working.”
The songstress also mentioned that there will be a duet on the album. “It's with an R&B artist, so you'll have to wait and find out who it is."
She’s hoping her public struggles with eating and bipolar disorders will have inspired her fans to speak out and get help for their inner demons. “There are some [topics] on [the album] that are very deep and it's really out there. I'm singing about some issues that I've never even spoken about before. So I'm going there."
Though Lovato plans on shedding some light on her own issues with this new album, she says, “for the rest of it, there are a lot of songs on there that are dancier and a lot more R&B vocals. You'll have to wait and find out!”
