Christina Aguilera is back with a brand new single.
The singer announced on Twitter that new single, “Telepathy,” has been released. The song is part of the soundtrack for an upcoming Netflix series called The Get Down, directed by Baz Luhrmann. Fun fact: Luhrmann has previously worked with the 35-year-old singer in a little movie called Moulin Rogue. Talk about a #tbt!

Aguilera collaborated with Niles Rodgers on the 70s-inspired single. Be prepared to hear a lot of disco and of course, Aguilera’s signature bellows. No word on another studio album, but maybe this is a sign of what’s to come?
Another interesting fact about Aguilera’s single release is that it coincided with one of a fellow 90s pop star. Britney Spears’ new single, “Clumsy” was also released today. What a throwback from the days when they vying for the "Pop Princess" title.
