Christina Aguilera Postpones Her Summer Tour

Christina Aguilera announced yesterday that she is canceling the highly anticipated summer tour for her new album Bionic.

The pop star promised fans that she'll be back on the road again in 2011, but cited the insanely busy promotional schedule for her album and her upcoming film Burlesque as the reasons for pushing back the tour dates. "Christina Aguilera's summer tour has been moved to 2011 due to prior commitments that the singer had made to her film, Burlesque, and to the promotion of her new album, Bionic," tour promoter Live Nation, announced in a statement. "The singer felt she needed more time to rehearse the show and with less than a month between the album release and tour dates this wasn't possible." contacted a rep for Christina and confirmed the tour has been pushed back until at least the fall.

Christina's tour was originally scheduled to start in July and make 20 stops across the country. Bionic is Aguilera's fourth studio album and is scheduled to drop June 8th. Burlesque marks the singer's silver screen debut. The film centers around a girl looking to make it big in Los Angeles who begins to perform at a burlesque theater owned by Cher. The film will hit movie theaters across the country in Nov. 2010.
