Move over Pitbull and Wisin y Yandel. Carlos Santana is the original king of collaborations! According to Huffington Post, the legendary Mexican guitarist cleared up rumors about a possible collaboration with Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga.
After several rumors claimed he would be joining forces with the pop stars, Carlos set the record straight about his musical new ventures. "It’s a matter of the right song and some willingness. I hold my sister and two brothers in the same light and I am grateful that nothing is out of the realm of possibility.' Peace," he said.
In honor of his musical genius, we are counting down our favorite Carlos Santana collaborations of all time! Like if one of your faves made our list!
Santana and The Product G&B, 1999
Who can forget playing this track on repeat back in the day? We all transformed into leading ladies from Spanish Harlem when we listened to Santana’s “Maria Maria” featuring The Project G&B. The song, off of his hit album Supernatural, also won the Grammy Award for “Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group” in 2000, and remains one of our favorite Santana tracks to date.
