It looks as though Calle 13 can now be added to the growing roster linked to mega-producer Robi Draco Rosa!
According to People en Español, the Boricua urban music duo (made up of stepbrothers René Pérez and Eduardo Cabra) is set to work with the 42-year-old ex-Menudo star on his new album.
Calle 13 front man Pérez dropped a huge hint on Twitter recently. In his tweet, he stated that “Writing to see how this collaboration comes out @DracoRosa….” Calle 13 would be joining an A-list group of artists working with Draco Rosa on his album; this includes Dominican singer/songwriter Juan Luis Guerra and Spanish singer Alejandro Sanz. People en Español already reported that the album will feature new versions of some of Draco Rosa’s greatest hits.
As many know, Draco Rosa has had an incredibly tough year fighting cancer, after a tumor was found inside his stomach. Earlier this month, he posted a photo of himself to his more than 100,000 followers. In the image, the musician appears incredibly thin and pensive.
In a statement regarding his diagnosis, Draco Rosa said he received many calls from his extended family and friends who prayed for him to feel better. The musician also spoke to Univision’s Primer Impacto this summer from his home in Puerto Rico. “I’m here with a lot of faith,” he said.
After everything that Draco Rosa has been through, we think this album will definitely hold that much more meaning to the artist – and his fans. We’re waiting for more details and can’t wait to hear the final product.
