C. Tangana has been a radio staple in his native Spain for ten years and now he's shaking up the U.S. urban music market with his latest track "Booty," an addictive collaboration with Becky G.

The European import sports a fake glass eye in the Pablo Larcuen directed video released widely on Wednesday, that has him seeing his golden girl blurry. As everything comes into focus, Becky is dancing to an infectious Afro-Carribean beat while surrounded by bikini-clad women shaking their derrieres.

And while on the surface it may seem like another typical, hip hop video objectivying women, it's all very intentional. Larcuen means to play with the surrealism and aesthetic cliches of those very same videos.

Tangana first entered the U.S. urban market in 2017 with the hit "Mala Mujer," the tune that earned him a record deal with Sony Spain. He remixed the song as a collaboration with French Montana and Farruko that had heads bopping and charts climbing.

He's coming in strong into the American market and there's no better time than the present. Bad Bunny, J Balvin, Nicky Jam, Maluma, and Daddy Yankee have all made the night show rounds as well as performed on English-language award shows including the MTV Video Awards in August.
