The Black Eyed Peas will perform a benefit concert on June 9 in New York City’s Central Park. The band teamed up with Z100 radio station and the Robin Hood Foundation for the performance, proceeds will help fight poverty in the city.
“This isn’t helping some person that’s halfway across the world. This is somebody you walk by every day – it’s personal,” Fergie told Elvis Duran of the Z100 Morning Show. “It’s about the love in New York.”
Black Eyed Peas fans can enter to pick up a free ticket by registering at BlackEyedPeas.RobinHood.org. According to the website, 54,000 free tickets will be available randomly.
