Twice As Nice: Upon arriving to their party at New York nightclub Tenjune, cousins and BFF's Jessica and Janelle Martinez posed next to their glamorous, larger-than-life selves in our June/July issue.
Girl Props: The girls get cozy and share excited smiles over their very first cover story. Congratulations, ladies!
Team Spirit: Editor-in-chief Mimi Valdes Ryan poses with the Martinez cousins, who rocked sultry shirred dresses by Bebe, as they hold up a copy of Latina.
Family Ties: Jessica and Janelle didn't just fly themselves to New York for the party—they brought their whole family along too! Mami, papis, tios, hermanos and primos all arrived from California—for many, it was their first time on the East Coast—and showed their support from the VIP area.
Bust Moves: After a good amount of mingling and introductions, the Prima J girls did what they do best (besides singing, of course)—they danced up a storm.
Real Sabor: Though Jessica and Janelle have their hip-hop moves down, their merengue skills are a little shaky. Lucky for Janelle, one of our trusty Latina staffers came to the rescue and showed her how it's done!
Daddy's Girl: Jessica blows a kiss for her father, Saul Martinez, who also showed off his dance moves all night long.
Proud Papi: Janelle's dad, Joseph Martinez, was beaming just as much as Saul, and we can't blame him. It's not every day that two brothers can watch their daughters rise to the top.
Show Stoppin': Before the night was over, Prima J jumped onstage to perform "Corazon" and "Tame," two of the lead singles from their new album dropping June 17. You can be sure all the party guests were cheering and dancing along!
LA Ink: Jessica and Janelle bless the cover with their autographs before heading back to Cali. Next stop: stardom.
