In Shark Night 3D (opening in theaters nationwide today), Sara Paxton plays a badass who confronts a lake full of sharks head on. But in real life, the half-Mexican actress says she’s not that fearless. “I used to surf and I don’t anymore because I’m terrified of sharks,” says the California native. “You know how there’s always that weird person swimming really far out? Come fall, we will be able to see how Puerto Rico looked back in the 1950s—thanks to the new film The Rum Diary, which hits theatres October 28. Johnny Depp stars in the film, based on the semi-biographical book by late journalist/author Hunter S. Thompson, about a freelance journalist at a crossroads in his career who travels to the island in hopes of finding a secure niche for himself.
