With the heat behind the issue of immigration continually rising, sometimes it is nice to receive a fresh perspective, perhaps one you had not fully thought through, and one that puts a human face on such a hot-button issue.

Latina caught up with Cameron Diaz while she was promoting her new comedy Bad Teacher yesterday in Miami. It was a whirlwind day of interviews for the leggy blonde, who at one point even showed off her salsa moves during Univision’s Despierta America! We chatted with our favorite funny girl about so many things—including, of course, the making of the film (which had us laughing from beginning to end), working with ex Justin Timberlake, and what she thinks about breast implants!

Immigration is a hot button topic these days. Arizona’s notorious SB 1070 immigration law paved the way for states like Georgia and Alabama to implement their own laws—albeit all of them are being fought out in federal court right now. As the debate and protests over racial profiling and deportations heats up, another fantastic film is giving us a different perspective on the debate.

If ever you need proof that blondes have more fun, just take a good look at Cameron Diaz. While most actresses her age are collecting Oscars, husbands and babies, Cameron seems more interested in dancing on tables and making younger women jealous of her bikini body. Her bubbly attitude certainly spills over into her movie roles, where Cam has made a name for herself as a bombshell comedienne.

Though Pirates of the Caribbean: On Strangers Tides is still raking in the dough at your local movieplex, it’s always nice to see Penelope Cruz show off her acting chops in a good old fashioned indie pic. Finally, A Matador’s Mistress (formerly known as Manolete) a movie she shot back in 2005 is seeing the light of day—but you’ll have to watch it on DVD, instant online streaming, or video-on-demand because it’s not available in theaters.

Argentina is known for many things and cinema is definitely one of them. Last year alone, they released something like 150 movies. Even their bad ones are still better than a lot of the commercial basura Hollywood sometimes releases.
