UPDATE: William Levy is Not Playing a Stripper in New Movie

Yesterday it was reported that Cuban telenovela star William Levy would appear shirtless (and perhaps more!) in Magic Mike, a film about male strippers.  Now, People en Español is reporting that the 30-year-old will not be in the film.  “He was approached, but will not be in it,” confirmed Gladys González, Levy’s manager.

Though his fans are probably disappointed about the news, it isn’t as if we have never seen the handsome actor showing off his pecks.  He bared his fit physique in Jennifer Lopez’s “I’m Into You” music video earlier this year.

Directed by Steven Soderbergh (Ocean’s Eleven), Magic Mike is reported to star a cast of hot male actors that include Channing Tatum, Matthew McConaughey, and Matt Bomer.
