Here's to celebrating more success!

PLUS: New Study: 2016 Was the Worst Year for Latinos in Film in Nearly a Decade
We last saw the 25-year-old beauty in Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising in 2016. Though she's been focusing on her musical career, we are happy to see she'll be exploring a new role with a legendary filmmaker. Although we are still waiting on the details of the screenplay, it is titled “Wonder Wheel” and will premiere at the New York Film Festival in October. Allen is known for directing outrageously conversational films, but with this diverse cast, we're sure it will be one for the books!
In the past, the To Rome with Love Director has also cast Latinos such as Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem. According to the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, Latinos were the least represented in films with only 3.1 percent of the roles in the 100 top-grossing films from 2007. Directors, filmmakers, and producers should take note to this when casting new talent.
We can't wait to see Selena Gomez' new role in action!
