White Men Can’t Jump
Critics loved her depiction of Gloria Clemente, the girlfriend of Billy (Woody Harrelson). She played the voracious reader, lover of obscure facts and a woman who keeps her word brilliantly.
Earning her an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress, her portrayal of Carla Rodrigo who struggles with survivor’s guilt on living through a plane crash while her baby didn’t, is in a word: amazing. Seriously. Watch this film.
The 24 Hour Woman
Rosie also served as a producer for this film, which focused on Grace Santos, a television producer who struggled with work-life balance and being a good mother. She was nominated for an ALMA award for “Outstanding Actress in a Feature Film” for this film.
She’s got comedic chops, folks. Rosie plays officer Carol Brazier, a corrupt cop, in this stoner film with James Franco and Seth Rogen. Honestly, just watch it for the laughs.
The role of Marina de la Pena earned her an Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Female. The film focused on an armored-truck driver who survives a hijacking and becomes obsessed with finding his attackers. Rosie plays Marina, the wife of the driver.
