Puerto Rican and Afro-Cuban actress Rosario Dawson and half-Puerto Rican actress-comedienne Aubrey Plaza new ensemble film, Ten Year, has finally aquired a U.S. distributor, meaning, we might actually get to see it soon!
The film is a comedy about a group of friends throwing a party for their 10-year high school reunion. It debuted at the Toronto Film Festival this past year and has just been acquired by Anchor Bay Films, according to the Hollywood Reporter. They are expecting a spring release for the film.
Ten Year also stars Channing Tatum, who produced and acted in the film. Large ensemble casts seem to be a current trend in Hollywood films. It’s a good sign that more Latino actors will be included with starring roles in these features.
Dawson was last seen in the movie, Zookeeper, and Plaza plays a regular role on NBC’s Parks & Recreation.
