Jessica Alba, who has stayed extremely active as her second child’s birthdate looms closer, already has a new project lined up. According to Hollywood Reporter, our August cover girl will join other A-listers in Escape from Planet Earth, a family-friendly animated film about heroes who try to save aliens trapped on planet Earth.
30-year-old Alba will play a no-nonsense character named Lena and will be joining Sarah Jessica Parker, Brendan Fraser, and James Gandolfini on the Escape from Planet Earth cast. The film, directed by Cal Brunker (Despicable Me), is currently in production and will be released next year.
Alba, who awaiting the arrival of baby #2 with husband Cash Warren, has had a busy year despite her bun in the oven. The family-friendly Spy Kids 4: All the Time in the World will hit theaters on August 19.
