The Highest Grossing Movies of All Time Starring Latinos

Star Wars: The Force Awakens recently became the highest grossing film of all time in the U.S. According to Forbes, the movie has so far raked in over $770M at the box office in just three weeks.

1. Avatar

James Cameron's 2009 film Avatar, starring Zoe Saldana, brought in a whopping $760.5M domestically. This movie was the highest-grossing of all time, until Star Wars surpassed it just a few days ago.

2. Furious 7

2015 hit, Furious 7, which starred fellow Latinas Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster, grossed over $353M in North America. The movie is the seventh and highest grossing film of the Furious franchise.

3. Skyfall

The 2012 James Bond film Skyfall, starring Javier Bardembrought in over $304M in the U.S. and Canada. In the opening night alone, the movie earned $2.4 million.

4. Guardians of the Galaxy

Zoe Saldana is lucky enough to have starred in yet another high-grossing film. The 2014 superhero film, Guardians of the Galaxy, brought in over $333M domestically.

5. The Lion King

Disney's 1994 classic, The Lion King, racked up over $422M domestically, much thanks to the voice castings including Cheech Marin as Banzai.

6. Despicable Me 2

Despicable Me 2 grossed more than $368M. Benjamin Bratt hilariously voiced main character, Eduardo.
