We chicas spend a considerable amount of time trying to find The One—no wonder there are so many romantic comedies out there! But the truth is that some of the most rewarding relationships we have are the ones with our hermanas, whether they be tied to us by blood that (as in Selena Gomez’s new movie, Ramona and Beezus) or by friendship. And there are some great movies that reflect that.

Elizabeth Peña, Jacqueline Obradors and Tamara Mello play three very different sisters—one’s repressed, another is plagued by doubts and the third caught up in material things. But as they come together through the one thing they have in common—their dad’s (Hector Elizondo) traditional, lavish family dinners—to find love, passion and fulfillment, teaching us about the push and pull of sisterly relationships along the way.
