Ladies, you better start getting in line now! Sexy Mexican star Gael García Bernal will be starring in Jon Stewart’s directorial debut titled Rosewater.

Rosewater is based on the real-life capture of a British journalist, Maziar Bahari, in Iran.

Bernal will be playing the role of Bahari, a journalist for BBC who went to Iran for one week to cover the nation’s presidential election, but was captured and spent 118 days in a prison in northwestern Tehran.

This isn’t Bernal’s first time starring in a political drama. Most recently he starred in the Oscar-nominated film No, a film that follows the story of an ad executive, René Saavedra, who comes up with a campaign to defeat Chilean dictator Augusto Pinochet in the country’s 1988 referendum.

Rosewater will begin shooting later this summer and is expected to be in theaters in 2014. Are you looking forward to it?
