The Part-Dominican, part Boricua actress plays a lethal assassin in the film, which is set in the Americas and due for release in September 2011. Directed by Olivier Megaton (Transporter 3), the photo above shows Saldana in character as Cataleya Restrepo, a young woman who becomes a stone-cold killer after witnessing the brutal murder of her parents at the hands of a Colombian drug lord as a child.
Cat spends her days working as a hitman for her uncle Emilio, a Colombian gangster, but she moonlights as a vigilante hoping to find the man responsible for murdering her parents. Her uncle tries to persuade Cat to leave criminal life, but she’s determined to get revenge.
