FIRST LOOK: Jessica Alba in Robert Rodriguez’s 'Spy Kids' Reboot

We told you back in August that Jessica Alba is starring in the reboot of Robert Rodriguez’s incredibly successful Spy Kids franchise and now we have two first movie stills of her in character, Marisa Cortez Wilson.

Alba, who got close to the Tejano director while starring in 2010’s Machete, plays a former spy who’s married to famous (but bumbling) spy-hunting TV reporter (Community’s Joel McHale) and is a new mother to both their infant daughter and a pair of twin stepchildren. After dropping out of the spy game to raise her family, Marisa gets pulled back in to fight a new diabolical threat.

Of course, her stepchildren get in on the act and fighting crime brings their family closer together. Look for cameos from original spy kids Carmen (Alexa Vega) and Juni (Daryl Sabara) in the film as the OSS has to reboot the now-defunct Spy Kids division that was created in the first films.

We love this franchise and wouldn’t be surprised if it continues to rake in the dough when it hits movie theaters on August 19. Will you take your children to see Spy Kids 4: All the Time in the World?
