Penelope Cruz To Receive Gotham Award Tribute

The race to the Oscars has officially started, and Penelope Cruz is the front runner. The Spanish actress has recieved the first honors of the season, the Gotham Award Tribute, for her body of work, including this year's Vicky Cristina Barcelona and Elegy. The tribute will also focus on her frequent collaborations with director Pedro Almodóvar.

The ceremony will take place in New York on December 2. Last year's Gotham Award Tribute honoree was none other than Penelope's boyfriend and VCB co-star, Javier Bardem. Could this mean that Javi and Penelope will finally walk a red carpet together this fall? Forget their movies, for us that would be the real award-winning moment!
