Eva Longoria has just been cast opposite Billy Bob Thornton in The Baytown Disco, the story of three redneck brothers who agree to help a woman get her son back from his seemingly abusive father. It is not yet known who Eva will play in the new movie, but chances are the Desperate Housewives star — who just got a big fat raise last week—will play the manipulative woman claiming to be in distress.
The movie, which begins filming in Louisiana on May 2nd, will be the first time Eva has appeared on the big screen since she starred in the comedy, Over Her Dead Body (2008).
And speaking of returning to the big screen, Variety is reporting that Lost alum Nestor Carbonnel is in talks to reprise his role as Gotham City’s Mayor Anthony Garcia in the upcoming Batman film, The Dark Knight Rises. Other actors who have already completed deals to return include Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman and Gary Oldman.
Interestingly enough, Carbonnel and Longoriaare costars on the upcoming film, Cristiada, which also stars Latinos Andy Garcia and Oscar Issac.
