If ever you need proof that blondes have more fun, just take a good look at Cameron Diaz. While most actresses her age are collecting Oscars, husbands and babies, Cameron seems more interested in dancing on tables and making younger women jealous of her bikini body. Her bubbly attitude certainly spills over into her movie roles, where Cam has made a name for herself as a bombshell comedienne.
This summer, Cameron is ditching the nice girl act to play a pot smoking, foul-mouthed educator in Bad Teacher. We couldn’t be more excited, and to help build up our anticipation for the film (this red band trailer has had us talking since last March), we put together a video slideshow of our favorite scenes from the girl who will do anything for a laugh...or a cry.
It’s the movie that started it all! In her first film role, former model Cameron proved she could do more than just pose on stage. She managed to hold her own against Jim Carrey during this raucous dance number and—voila—a star was born.
My Best Friend’s Wedding
Think it’s funny watching Cameron dance? Try watching her sing. As a young up-and-comer, Cameron threw caution (and self consciousness) to the wind when she belted out a truly horrible rendition of “I Say a Little Prayer For You” for her fiancé Dermott Mulroney. It was so endearing that it made him fall in love with Cameron, and movie audiences across America did too.
There's Something About Mary
It’s not easy to steal scenes from Ben Stiller and Matt Dillon, but Cameron pretty much ran away with the whole movie on this one. With her now infamous hair gel scene, she went aspiring A-lister to household name in less time than it took Ben Stiller to you-know-what in his pants.
Being John Malkovich
It came out more than 10 years ago, but Cameron’s role in Being John Malkovich is still her most acclaimed to date (it earned her a Golden Globe nomination). Cameron's phenomenal acting wasn't the only thing that made this role stand out, she also underwent a dramatic style transformation—going from California blonde to mousy, frizzy brunette.
Once she earned the title of Dancing Queen, Cameron did everything she could to keep it—including shaking her booty in a pair of cartoon undies in the original Charlie’s Angels. Think Beyonce could make tidy whities look this hot?
My Sister’s Keeper
Ok, maybe there is one hairstyle Cameron sported on-screen that was even more shocking than her brown ‘fro: when she shaved it all off for her role as the mother of a leukemia-stricken little girl. It’s true she achieved her polished dome look with the help of a latex cap, but Cameron did prove that for her, bald is still beautiful.
In her latest film, in theaters tomorrow, June 24, Diaz plays a foul-mouthed teacher on a quest to find a rich man to marry. When a wealthy substitute teacher comes into town, she sets her sights on him, whipping her kids into shape as a result. From a sexy car wash to pot smoking in the girl's bathroom to a hysterically awkward sex scene with ex-beau Justin Timberlake, this movie seems to highlight Cameron in all her comedic glory.
