Avengers Star Max Hernandez on Being Latino: "We Are a Dominant Force"

Maximiliano Hernandez is a comic book fanatic who landed the dream role as S.H.I.E.L.D agent Jasper Sitwell in the hit blockbuster, The Avengers. The Honduran-American actor started his performing arts career at the BFA program at Leonard Davis Center for in Harlem, NY, but soon left to pursue off-Broadway gigs. The risk paid off.

The Brooklyn-born actor, who has also starred in Thor as Agent Sitwell, spoke to Latina.com about his love for being Latino. "I love our language, culture, music, and the warmth of people," said Max.

He continued, "When you are Latino, you are instantly in this big club. We form strong communities and are all in this together. We are a dominant force. Our beaches aren't so bad either (laughs)."

We couldn't agree more! The Avengers DVD/Blu-Ray hits stores on Sept 25th.
