50 Cent in Talks to Star in Movie with Benicio del Toro

Rapper/actor Curtis Jackson, commonly known as 50 Cent, is set to costar in an upcoming poker-themed movie feauturing Puerto Rico’s sexiest and most talented actor, Oscar winner Benicio Del Toro. And if that's not enough Latin flavor, reggaeton sensations Wisin & Yandel are also said to be making an appearance in the still-unnamed film.

50 previously collaborated with the duo for the single “Mujeres in Da Club” and had nothing but good things to say about their chemistry. “I've received nothing but positive feedback on this collaboration," he told Billboard. "And it's a surprise because it's playing in a space where you wouldn't traditionally hear 50 Cent. It's exciting and it's a whole new charge of energy for the person that is tuning in."

To round out this all-star cast, David Maldonado, who coproduced El Cantante, will direct the movie. Filming will take place in Puerto Rico. Details about the film are still limited, but with a a gifted cast and crew set in the exciting world of professional poker, this movie seems to have all the ingredients to cook up a box office hit.
