2012 New York International Film Festival Awards - List of Winners

Indie film lovers were in for a treat as the New York International Latino Film Festival (NYILFF) presented over 30 features last week. The event, sponsored by HBO, ended yesterday with a ceremony honoring the best films in the categories including, “Best Short” and “Best International Feature.” The prizes varied and included up to $5,000 in cash. Not a bad way to end the festival!

Best Short: Pescadora

Best Domestic Feature: Under My Nails

Best International Feature: El Rumor De Las Piedras

Best Directo: Alejandro Bellame Palacios for El Rumor de Las Piedras

Best Documentary: El Medico: The Cubaton Story

NYLIFF Short Film Competition Winner: The Acting Lesson
