Dance break! Michelle Obama recently joined Univision's Bárbara Bermundo as they swayed their hips to Pitbull's "Echa Pa' Lla” for a news segment on the First Lady’s ‘Let’s Move’ campaign. The national program helps fight childhood obesity and educates families on how to live healthier lifestyles.
The dance routine’s aim was to promote the campaign’s latest goal, which is to get 50,000 schools to commit to 60 extra minutes of physical activity. The initiative connects a good diet and exercise to academic achievement and "ensures that every student has better attendance, test scores and learning ability."
In an interview with HuffPost Voces, Bermundo discussed her dance number with Obama. “It was not prepared. I did bring the music and told her I had brought Pitbull’s single because I would like both of us to move together and to support the campaign," said Bermudo. "She immediately said yes and asked me to teach her so we could practice the steps. She learned very fast!”
She definitely rocked it out! The entire interview with Michelle Obama will air on Primer Impacto on March 6. Check out the preview footage below and let us know what you think!
