In a move that we're sure has nothing to do with keeping up interest in her new album or film, the diva was spotted on the red carpet of her indie film Tennessee at the Tribeca Film Festival sporting a mega-rock on her ring finger. Her rumored boyfriend, Nick Cannon, hovered nearby, reports People, and the couple held hands and cuddled during the afterparty at New York hotspot Tenjune. Nick's rep had no comment on a possible engagement, but Nick himself was a little less tight-lipped when reporters questioned him on what he liked best about Mimi: "Everything," he responded.

Mariah, on the other hand, doesn't want us to be fooled by the rock that she's got. When asked if amor was in the air, she coyly replied: "I'm in love with my dog. He is my special someone. I love spending time with him." Well, if "dog" is code for "Nick," then all we can say is, you go, girl!
