6 Latino LGBT Pride Performances

As we prepare to enter LGBT Pride Month, it should be noted that the celeb star of this Pride season is one of our favorite Latinas: Demi Lovato! Not only has she been named the Los Angeles Pride grand marshall, she will also be performing there the weekend of the festivities (June 6-8). Lovato will go bi…coastal on June 29th for New York City Pride, where she'll be headlining the annual Dance on the Pier.

But Lovato isn't the first Latina to perform in the name of Pride, here are 5 other Latinos who have performed at an LGBT Pride event:

1. Demi Lovato

Demi Lovato was chosen to participate in both major LGBT events in honor of the 45th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots and for her activism for equality, positive messages on body image and her level of openness with her struggles—making her a superb role model for all youth. "It’s such an honor to be a part of both LA and NYC PRIDE celebrations this year,” she said in a statement. “I have been an active advocate of the LGBT community and am wholly committed to supporting individuality and being comfortable in one’s own skin. I am thrilled to be a part of both events as they are a wonderful celebration of independence and self-confidence.”

2. Jennifer Lopez

Fellow gay icon Jennifer Lopez took on NYC Pride (and the pier dance) back in 2006, singing fan favorites like "Waiting For Tonight."

3. Kat DeLuna

In the West Coast, Kat Deluna is a gay pride regular! She performed in Los Angeles in 2013 and in San Jose in 2012.

4. Ricky Martin

Just a year after coming out, Ricky Martin performed a tour concert tied in around Madrid Pride in 2011.

5. Charo

In 2008, Charo took the stage to perform for L.A. Pride.

6. Pussycat Dolls

Before parting ways, Mexicana Melody Thornton and the rest of the Pussycat Dolls performed on the pier in 2005, performing "Don't Cha".
