The Desperate Housewives star is determined to make a name for herself outside of Hollywood. Longoria, who is completing her Master’s in Chicano Studies, attended a Senate committee hearing earlier today in Washington to encourage more support for minority woman-owned businesses. The Mexican actress owns two restaurants named Beso and She.
“Latinas are one of our nation's greatest natural resources, and we have to treat them as such. If we invest in giving Latinas the tools to unlock their potential today, we can create a brighter economic future for our country,” she said. Go Eva!
