When a toy company decides to immortalize a star by creating a doll in their likeness, that's usually an indication that the celebrity (or a franchise they're part of) has become an icon. But while some fans find it awesome, others feel the dolls look strange and don't do their favorite Hollywood star any justice. From Jennifer Lopez to Selena Quintanilla, here are 8 Latinas who have been transformed into muñequitas. Tell us, are these cute or creepy?
1. Jennifer Lopez
Barbie Collector honored the icon with two dolls made in her likeness: Jennifer Lopez World Tour — a smiling, sprinkled with sparkle version who is ready to take the stage — and Jennifer Lopez Red Carpet — a sultry version of the star wearing an elegant Zuhair Murad gown. "I wanted to live in Barbie's world. I wanted to be Barbie," Lopez said during an interview.
In the early 2000’s, Mattel released several versions of Barbie’s made in Shakira’s likeness, including this Rockin’ Concert Barbie.
4. Mariah Carey
With a crop top and mic in her hand, the super estrella’s plastic counterpart surely embodies all that is Mariah: sexy and talented!
5. Selena Gomez
The 21-year-old star was transformed into a fashion doll during her run as Alex Russo on Disney Channel’s Wizards of Waverly Place.
6. Bella Thorne
In 2011, Disney V.I.P released a very cute version of Bella as her Shake It Up character, CeCe Jones.
7. Adrienne Bailon
