In 2007, Salma gave birth to her beautiful daughter Valentina. During an interview, Hayek shared, “I like being a mother. For some people it’s so much work that it can be a burden. But it’s not for me, maybe because I had my daughter, Valentina, later on in life, at 41. I have never been apart from Valentina for more than a week – even when my husband, Francois-Henri Pinault, and I went on our honeymoon, we were only without her for one week.”
When the illustrious singer became pregnant with twins, Monroe and Moroccan, she was 40-years-old. Mariah revealed that she underwent fertility treatments to try to get pregnant with the twins following her unfortunate miscarriage. “The main thing I did that was tough, was to go on progesterone like every month… and then when I was pregnant, I had to stay with the progesterone for 10 weeks,” she told Barbara Walters on 20/20. “It minimizes the chance of miscarriage by 50 percent.”
