Well that's one way to pop the question! Congratulations are in order for Kat Von D, who was proposed to via Twitter by boyfriend (now fiance) DJ DeadMau5 (real name Joel Zimmerman).
The 31-year-old DJ tweeted, "I can't wait for Christmas so.... Katherine Von Drachenberg, will you marry me?" The tweet included a picture of the ring, which showcases two skulls on either side of a diamond. On the picture DeadMau5 wrote, "Changing the diamond to a black diamond FYI. Sorry for the jpg ... they'll finish the actual ring soon I hope. I love u."
Kat responded with two tweets: the first, a series of exclamation points. The second? "Mi corazon!!! Thank you all for the lovely congratulations! Please excuse me while I go squeeze the hell out of my fiancé!"
DeadMau5 kept the twitter love going, tweeting to his fans, "holy f*cking shit. im engaged and stuff!" and "thanks for the well wishes and support from the horde and everyone else! brb while i spend the rest of my evening with my future wife :)"
Congrats to the happy couple! What do you think of this use of technology -- are Twitter proposals the new thing? Share in the comments!
