Before her passing, Jenni had been working on her first official autobiography. The book – titled Unbreakable: My Story, My Way – was Jenni’s way of giving her fans an inside look at all her trials, tribulations and triumphs. Reading the memoir is definitely one way to keep Jenni in our hearts.
I Love Jenni
The Mexican-American star’s reality TV show, which airs on mun2, became a major hit as soon as it hit the air waves on March 5, 2011. The current season, which wraps up on July 7, is said to be its final. But thanks to marathon airings, reruns and DVDs – we will always have a chance to see Jenni in all her best moments.
Throughout her career, Jenni released 11 albums, including two versions of Joyas Prestadas. Five of her albums – Parrandera, Rebelde y Atrevida; Mi Vida Loca; Jenni; La Gran Señora and Joyas Prestadas – made it to the Billboard 200. Listening to all of Jenni’s tunes will always keep her in our hearts and souls.
Jenni bore five children – Janney “Chiquis” Marin, Jacqueline Marin, Michael Marin, Jenicka Lopez and Johnny Lopez – and five siblings who were her all. She was particularly close to her sister Rosie Rivera, who to this day continues to honor and shed light on Jenni. Jenni’s family is her legacy left behind and because of their memories; she will continue to live on.
Just yesterday we were made aware of the Jenni Rivera piñata. And although this has become a highly controversial item, it is because of merchandise such as this that Jenni will always live on. From mugs to iPhone cases, we’ve seen it all, and they’re just a tiny piece of Jenni that fans turn to in order to honor her and keep her by their side.
Her GRAMMY Museum Exhibit
On May 12, 2013, the Jenni Rivera exhibition debuted at The GRAMMY Museum at L.A. Live. The exhibit, which focuses on Jenni as the “Diva of Banda,” serves as a musical powerhouse due to her work within the banda and norteña music genres. It also illustrates how Jenni used her music and celebrity to abolish female stereotypes that existed in Mexican music for many years.
The exhibit will remain open until May 2014, so be sure to pay a visit!
Las Vegas Walk of Stars
She sold over 15 million albums worldwide, and was nominated at the 2003, 2008 and 2010 Latin Grammys. It is because of this accomplishment that Jenni was awarded a star on the Las Vegas Walk of Stars. Wouldn’t it be great to see her on the Hollywood Walk of Stars next?

In addition to her star status, Jenni was also an entrepreneur. She launched Jenni by Jenni Rivera and created fragrances and other items, such as flat irons, for the brand. She also started several other companies including Divina Realty, Divina Cosmetics, Jenni Jeans and Divine Music.
It was Jenni's acting debut. She played Maria Tenorio this film which was released during the 2012 Sundance Film Festival. Watch this movie and remember why Jenni was an all-around superstar!
Jenni will always live on through the hearts she touched with her charity work. With the Jenni Rivera Love Foundation, the singer visited and donated money to sick children. She also touched the lives of many women after she began her work as spokeswoman for the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
The Los Angeles City Council even proclaimed August 6 “Jenni Rivera Day” for all her charity work and involvement in the community.
