Defending himself in 1983, Camacho took on Rafael Solis, a fellow Puerto Rican who hailed from a prominent boxing family. Though he struggled briefly early on, Camacho took Solis down with a (now famous) right to the chin, knocking him out in the fifth round and hanging on to his title.
