GET CULTURED: There's No Such Thing As a Free Lunch...

That is most definitely true, especially in this crapulent economy. But thankfully, there is such a thing as free Junot! Diaz, that is. The Pulitzer Prize-winning hottie (well, if nerds are your thing as they are mine) is doing a reading on Monday Nov. 24, 7:30 p.m., at Solas Bar in NYC. So put down that new Bolaño book, which will likely take you three lifetimes to finish, and join the 39-year-old Dominican author as he thrills us with passages from his critically acclaimed, The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao.

The addy in case you need it:

Solas Bar
232 E 9TH St
New York, NY 10003-7575
Phone: (212) 375-0297

The St Mark's Bookshop Reading Series is scheduled for two Thursdays a month beginning at 7:30 PM.

Junot is an amazing writer. Check out his website I there is a tour schedule there! xo, CC
You can't do a post that only New Yorkers benefit from! That's unfair, lol! At least include information about other appearances he'll be making in other cities.
Yep, he is always touring...check out his web site for dates or contact info: http://www.junotdiaz.com/tour.html
Does anyone know if he is doing readings outside NYC? Or if we can possible connect with his agent to convince him to come to CT? There are Latinas (Dominicanas even!) outside of NYC who would just love to meet him.
