2012 Emmys: Sofia Vergara and Louis CK Nominated!

Award show enthusiasts rejoice! The 2012 Primetime Emmy Nominees were announced this morning, and although Mad Men, Game of Thrones, and Girls snatched their nominations, shows starring Latinos weren’t left behind.

Modern Family star Sofia Vergara, who recently topped Forbes list as the highest-paid actress on television, was nominated for “Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.”

She recently posted on Twitter, "Gracias to everybody that loves Modern Family!! So much fun to be nominated again!! And gracias Modern Family!!"

The hit series garnered a total of 14 nominations. This is the third time the Colombian actress has been nominated for the same category. In 2010, Glee star, Jane Lynch walked away with the award, while Sofia’s co-star, Julie Bowen won the Emmy last year.

Part-Mexican comedian, Louis CK’s hit FX show, Louie, may have missed the nominations in the “Best Comedy Show” category, but the funny guy was nominated for “Best Actor in a Comedy.”
