Mariah on Being Married to Nick: "I'm Ecstatic!"

According to Mariah Carey, the only rocks in her marriage to Nick Cannon are the ones he puts on her finger. "It's good," she tells MTV News. "Life is beautiful, and things are going well."

Rumors of marital strife have followed the newlyweds every since Latina.com broke the news of their nuptuals in May. "I'm like, 'Why would we have gotten married?'" says Mariah, who is planning to tour in November. "People are going to say what they say, but what would be the purpose? I guess other people do those things for a purpose, but I don't know."

"I'm ecstatic, so be ecstatic with me!" Mimi added, er, ecstatically. "Be happy with me. Can we celebrate?"

What does Mariah want to get ecstatic about next? Having kids with Nick. "I couldn't imagine anybody that I've ever met being a better dad," she told Elle recently.

Nick may be a natural-born father, but somehow we still can't see Mimi as a mom. Still, if she and Nick got pregnant we would be...ecstatic!
